Knowledge Institute Philosophy

The Knowledge Institute was founded with the specific goal of "helping small businesses to help themselves." Today, this means integrating sound business management principals with state-of-the-art technology. With the right combination of management skills and technological resources, the small business can now, for the first time in history, compete effectively with large corporations and on a global scale.

Technology impacts almost every part of business in the United States and around the world. Whether you own your own business, manage a critical aspect of a business, or provide services to help other businesses to succeed - you will need to interact with technology.

By itself, technology is simply a combination of software and hardware. Without a talented management team, a sound business strategy and the right personnel and processes to implement this strategy, the application of technology can be meaningless or even counter-productive.

It is precisely from this perspective that the Knowledge Institute has developed it's training, educational and consulting programs. By helping small businesses to leverage people, processes and technology resources, we enable them to achieve more with less - more productivity, more profitability and more personal satisfaction.

Beginning with our Business Planning Guide, now in it's fourth edition, we help small businesses to develop a comprehensive business plan utilizing a step-by-step methodology. The end result - a complete business plan and financing proposal to guide and support your businesses ultimate success.

Once your business is up and running, we support the development of core management skills with our unique Strategic Management Learning System and Strategic Management Learning Handbook. Either one of these tools will make it possible for business professionals to develop solid management skills by immediately applying what they learn to their own specific work situation through step-by-step instruction and customizable worksheets.

Having a sound business plan in place as well as experience in understanding and managing the operation's financial statements, the business professional may then use the Strategic Knowledge Management Handbook to analyze, implement and control a complete Knowledge Management Business System (KMBS). A KMBS is one that integrates all core aspects of the business operation into a single report that is then used for ongoing strategy development and informed decision making.

When there is a need for outsourcing critical components of the management function, the Knowledge Institute offers a suite of Consulting Services to lighten the load while ensuring project quality. Please contact us for your free initial consultation.
